Pharmacy E-commerce & Delivery Platform
An online store for medicines and cosmetics with delivery — one backend for the web dashboard, a customer app and a driver app.
The problem
A pharmacy wanted to sell medicines and cosmetics online and deliver them to the door. That needs more than a store: stock has to be right before an order is accepted, each order has to reach the right driver, and the customer has to see where the order is.
What I did
- Built the backend APIs and the web admin dashboard in Laravel.
- Built the core logic for inventory, orders and user management.
- Designed the fulfilment logic: product availability, order routing and the delivery flow.
- Served two mobile apps from the same backend: a customer app for ordering and a driver app for delivery.
Architecture
-
Apps
- Customer app
- Driver app
- Web admin dashboard
-
Backend
- Laravel API
- Order & delivery flow (key component)
- Inventory
-
Data
- MySQL
The hard part: One order, three screens, one source of truth.
The same order is seen by the customer, the pharmacy staff and the driver, each on a different app. If they disagree about the order’s status, someone waits for nothing or drives to the wrong place.
So the order’s status lives only in the backend. Each step — accepted, prepared, picked up, delivered — is a change made there, and the three apps only read it. Stock is checked when the order is placed, so the pharmacy never accepts what it cannot deliver.
Results
- 3 apps on one backend: admin, customer, driver
- End to end from order to doorstep delivery
